Here is my last wedding for 2008. You really couldnt have asked for a better wedding day either. Everything was planned and put together so nicely. Below is Meagan and Joel’s wedding story.
The ceremony and reception took place right in the backyard of the bride’s parents.
Wow, what can I say about this wedding. I always like to shoot in places I’ve never been before, so it was nice visting Parry Sound for the first time. They have an earlier fall there, so the colours were popping like crazy.
Jaime and Darrel are just cool laid back people. They planned so many little things for this wedding that really made it their own. Here are some of the photos from the day.
I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house for this ceremony. Very nice.
Jaime and Darrel had balloons with their name and email on it. They sent them up in the air to see if people reply. A cool idea.
Drew had me and everyone else cracking up with his camera interviews. Too funny!
I’ve never seen this done before, but it was freakin’ hilarious. They had one of the guests sit in the brides chair with the garter on. Jaime laid her dress over his leg and Darrel had no idea what was going on because he was blindfolded. Everything went right to plan! 🙂

August 23rd, 2008 thirty degree weather, clear blues skies and the wedding day of Emiliy and Darcy. You really can tell these two are in love. The day was full of emotion, below is their story.
The wedding and reception both took place in Cambridge, Ontario.

This wedding and reception took place at the Best Western Lamplighter Inn in London, Ontario. It was almost like an outside wedding, but inside. Christine and Joost are one of those fun loving couples, as you can tell in these photos. We had a lot of fun shooting the formals at the park.
Most of Joost’s family flew in from all over including Holland, so it was really nice to meet and talk with them. I did get to use a few key Dutch phrases I know throughout the wedding 🙂 Dank u everyone! 🙂
What an awesome wedding location!
This is the last installment from my triple wedding weekend in August. I covered Emily and Janith’s wedding back in January. They had a small intimate dinner after the wedding. Well it’s now time for the big summer reception.
I asked Emily if she could hop in the tub for a few shots while she was getting ready. I think she got a little too comfortable. 🙂
It was pretty cold in January, so we didn’t get too many groupshots done outside. We took these in and around the Waterloo train station.
Emily really loved this photo I took back in the winter, and blew it up to poster size for this unique divider. Everyone signed their well wishes on it. 🙂

Wow, what an awesome wedding! I shot Dana and Gavin’s engagement photos back earlier this year and knew they were a real cool couple. Well it’s now wedding time in August and they still haven’t changed a bit 🙂 Dana and Gavin’s wedding took place just outside of St. Thomas right in Gavin’s parents backyard. It was a beautiful set up, very country and very open. Its always hard choosing blog photos, here are some of my favorites.
Dana and Gavin did something a little different, they wanted to do all their formal and family photos before the ceremony. So we came up with the idea to have Dana waiting at the end of the isle for Gavin with her back turned to him. This really turned out to be a special moment as you can see in the next couple of photos.
Now onto the ceremony. Luckily the days schedule worked out in our favour, just as the ceremony was about to start a strong lightning storm was approaching in the distance. These bolts of lighting managed to hold back just long enough for the ceremony to end.
Lindsay and Jamie’s wedding took place on 08.08.08 in Paris, Ontario at Lion’s Park. You couldn’t have asked for a better day for a wedding – the colours looked awesome! The day was filled with lots of emotion as you can see in some of the photos. I really enjoyed shooting this wedding.

Luke might be the best ring bearer I have seen. He was slow and steady the whole way. Luke actually didn’t want to walk on the grass, he didnt want to get his shoes dirty 🙂
This last photo was taken through the highchair at the reception hall. The back of it had a heart carved out. It turned out to make a perfect photo.
This outside wedding took place at Webster’s Falls just on the outskirts of Hamilton. The ceremony was put together beautifully and had personal touches from both the bride and groom. Morwenna and Ben are just cool, down-to-earth people who really wanted a small intimate gathering of close family and friends. A dinner reception followed at the Ancaster Old Mill.

Lynn and Steve’s Wedding was perfect in every way. We had an awesome castle backdrop for our group and Bride/Groom portraits at Castle Kilbride in Baden. The Ceremony took place at St. Lukes Lutheran Church. During the ceremony we had a huge rain downpour for about 5 mins, but it didn’t slow down any of the festivities! 🙂 The wedding party was full of energy and Lynn and Steve looked amazing together for all their portraits.
I snapped this really quick while we were waiting for the rain to stop after the ceremony. Love the guy pulling the vacuum in the background. 🙂

We just returned from our trip to Mexico. And this is a perfect example of why it’s never too late to trash that dress 🙂 Nicole and Marcus were married a few years ago in the winter back in Canada. Here are some of the photos I shot at the Barcelo Resort and the resort next to us, that was hit pretty hard by the hurricanes last summer. It was never repaired, but we used their pier for some shots.
Nicole and Marcus were huge sports! We had a lot of fun! The nice thing about being down south is the water never really gets cold, even at night.
